Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That standard is our baseline, not our finish line. Accessibility is part of how we build, not a box we check at the end.
What we do today
- Semantic structure. Pages use real headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate them in order.
- Keyboard support. You can reach and operate interactive elements with a keyboard, and a visible gold focus ring shows where you are.
- Skip link. A “Skip to content” link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the navigation.
- Contrast. We check text and interface colors for sufficient contrast in both light and dark themes.
- Reduced motion. If your system asks for less motion, our animations, including the halo, stop.
- Decorative visuals. Purely visual elements are hidden from assistive technology so they do not add noise.
- Responsive layout. The site reflows cleanly down to small screens and supports zoom without breaking.
Where we are still working
We test as we go, including automated checks with axe and manual keyboard and screen reader passes. Some areas, especially deeper inside the product, may still have gaps. We treat accessibility issues as real bugs and fix them.
Tell us when something is hard to use
If any part of GiveHalo gets in your way, we want to know. Email waynard@cappedoutmedia.com with the page, your browser or assistive technology, and what happened. We will respond and work with you on a fix or a workaround.
